Music lovers and pop culture spectators are in for a star-studded treat as the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place this evening in Los Angeles and will be available to stream live for the first time from the comfort of home. Live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles beginning at 8 p.m. ET, the ceremony will be broadcast exclusively on Disney+ with next-day streaming on Hulu and a later broadcast on ABC.

This year’s induction class brings together a diverse mix of artists who have left deep marks on the musical landscape. Performer inductees include Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, Soundgarden, The White Stripes, Bad Company, Joe Cocker and Chubby Checker. In the category of special awards, the ceremony will also honour Salt‑n‑Pepa and Warren Zevon with the Musical Influence Award, while musical trailblazers Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins and Carol Kaye will receive the Musical Excellence Award and Lenny Waronker will be recognised with the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

If you’re planning to tune in, all you’ll need is a Disney+ subscription. Starting at $12.99/month (bundles with Hulu and other services available), the platform brings the ceremony live to viewers across the U.S. Meanwhile Hulu subscribers can watch the next-day stream and ABC will carry an edited special at a later date.

Beyond the technical details of how to watch, the ceremony promises musical moments, visual spectacle and cross-generational appeal. Presenters and performers joining the event include luminaries such as Elton John, Missy Elliott, Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat, Beck, Iggy Pop and Flea.

What makes the 2025 ceremony stand out isn’t only the breadth of talent and history it honours, but the fact that streaming has taken centre stage. The move to Disney+ and Hulu highlights how live events in the music world are evolving and underscores the importance of digital reach in bringing major cultural moments to global audiences even as the show happens in L.A.

For fans of any of the inductees this year, the address is the same: set your streaming device to Disney+ at 8 p.m. ET, prepare for a full‐class celebration of rock, pop, rap, and beyond, and expect not just speeches and accolades but musical performances, tributes and surprises. Whether you’re revisiting decades of tunes by Soundgarden or The White Stripes or discovering Bad Company and Chubby Checker for the first time, the night is crafted to both honour the past and connect it to modern sound-culture.
