Original 'Hamilton' Cast to Reunite for 10th Anniversary Performance at 2025 Tony Awards

In a momentous celebration of Broadway history, the original cast of the groundbreaking musical Hamilton is set to reunite for a special 10th-anniversary performance at the 78th Annual Tony Awards on June 8, 2025. This highly anticipated event will take place at New York City's iconic Radio City Music Hall and will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+


The reunion will feature key original cast members, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., Phillipa Soo, Daveed Diggs, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, Christopher Jackson, Jasmine Cephas Jones, and Okieriete Onaodowan. They will be joined by original ensemble members such as Ariana DeBose, Javier Muñoz, Jon Rua, and Ephraim Sykes.


Hamilton debuted on Broadway on August 6, 2015, and quickly became a cultural phenomenon. The musical received a record-breaking 16 Tony Award nominations in 2016 and won 11, including Best Musical. It also garnered a Grammy Award, an Olivier Award, a Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an Emmy for its filmed version on Disney+.


The Tony Awards ceremony will be hosted by Tony winner Cynthia Erivo, with a pre-show titled "The Tony Awards: Act One" hosted by Darren Criss and Renée Elise Goldsberry, streaming on Pluto TV starting at 6:40 p.m. ET.


In addition to the Hamilton reunion, the ceremony will feature performances from all five nominees for Best Musical Buena Vista Social Club, Dead Outlaw, Death Becomes Her, Maybe Happy Ending, and Operation Mincemeat as well as performances from nominees for Best Revival of a Musical.


This reunion not only commemorates a decade since Hamilton's debut but also highlights the enduring impact the musical has had on theater and culture. Fans and newcomers alike are eagerly awaiting this historic performance, which promises to be a highlight of Broadway's biggest night.


The 78th Annual Tony Awards will air live on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will be available for streaming on Paramount+.
